Christmas Craft Fair

November 19, 2011

The Lund Christmas Craft Fair takes place annually on the
3rd Saturday of November from 10am-4pm at the Italian Hall in Wildwood. It has been coined “Powell River’s craft fair to
attend” by both vendors/artists and attendees, likely due
to the warm atmosphere, full lunch and dessert menu, kids
crafts corner, excellent variety and craftsmanship of
locally produced goods, and the community spirit felt
throughout the building.

INTERESTED IN VENDING? On Sept. 15th of each year the LCS updates this page with the current year’s important info
and a printable version of the Application Form (a new
application must be filed each year). The deadline for
applications is Nov. 1 of each year.  Applications can
MAILED into the provided address ASAP (please do not send cash as making the Nov. 1st deadline will not ensure there is still space available).

For vendors information contact Caitlin Bryant,
caitlin@groundswell.ca 604-483-1979. For general
information or to volunteer please contact Rianne Matz,
riannematz@yahoo.ca 604-483-9605.  Download and display this poster.

“Mile 0” Marker Project

Ongoing

The community of Lund has built a “Mile 0” marker at the location of the beginning/end of Highway 101.

This is your opportunity to become a part of history.  To raise funds for the “Mile 0” marker, personalized, hand-painted ceramic tiles will be embedded into the step around the base of the marker.

More information and forms are available at SunLund By-The-Sea, the Lund Hotel front desk, Nancy’s Bakery, and the Lund Harbour office, or click here.

Lund Community Sport Day

May 2, 2009

From 10 am to 2-ish, the Lund Community Society will host its fifth annual Sports Day and community potluck at the Lund Community Hall. Everyone is welcome. Everything is free, although donations to the Society are always appreciated.

Get ready to exercise those smile muscles! By the end of the day, your face may hurt just watching the extreme cuteness of the little kids and the hilarious antics of the older ones. It’s a real hoot and a wonderful community gathering. This is an outdoor event, so it is somewhat weather dependant. Let’s plan on sunshine!
